WashU ROCKS!
IntroductionBe prepared to study! Some students show up not ready for the work and thus do not do as well as they could. WashU is a great place for all sorts of people. This school is great for students who have above average IQs but are not ready for pressures of Ivy League schools. Personally, as a B-student in High School, I thought I would not fit in to such a prestigious school, but I managed to overcome this and do better than high school!
Campus Life and Social LifeThe best thing is the relaxed life on campus and the food! The worst thing is that there's no school spirit at all.
AcademicsEveryone takes chemistry when they come here (or so it seems). The chemistry department is pretty solid, but the bio department really requires a lot of prerequisites for you to do well. Most of the teachers are great, though there are a lot of bad ones as well. Writing is a required course for all freshmen, and it is a lot of work and really depends on the TA that you get. Overall, it is a great place!
Student BodyThere are students are from all over; lots of internationals, but also lots from nearby and there definitely is a diverse student population. Most students here study hard when there's a test, and most party hard when there aren't any. The majority of the school is pre-med but most end up dropping due to the highly difficult curriculum. Students really study a lot, and the library soon becomes everyone's favorite study location of choice.
In Closing...WashU is great!
