Introduction
The biggest piece of advice that I could give a student is to balance your partying with your drinking because you definitely don't want flunk out after your first year like half my friends did. If your going into engineering def. enjoy your first year by taking some easy cluster classes mixed with a couple hard classes so you can enjoy the party scene because after that your pretty much an engineering nerd. I chose this school because of the major Petroleum Engineering... $$$BIG MONEY$$$. If you're a student that can't control your partying then you should def go to another school because there's something going on every night.

Campus Life and Social Life
I really can't think of anything I dislike about this school other than it's lack of parking. Never try to park on campus in the middle of the day....EVER...

Academics
I haven't taken and hard cluster A or B class yet (history, anthropology, Spanish, etc..) but a lot of the professors here in my opinion shouldn't be teaching. Especially in Mechanical Engineering, Calc, and Chemistry. Mechanical engineering is the worst, one class 60% of the class received F's and D's. If you use Ratemyprofessor.com though you'll be okay because there are some really good professors here as well.

Student Body
Take a jersey kid, a Pittsburgh kid, and a Philly kid and roll em up in a ball and you have the typical West Virginia student. Majority of the students here come from these cities so it creates a pretty interesting vibe. Everyone here is pretty much chill and friendly and definitely strong in school spirit.

In Closing...
In closing I would like to say that WVU is a great college that can offer a very respectable college education and at the same time make you truly enjoy life.
