A great place to get involved

Rating: 1.1/5 (88 ratings)
Introduction
Don't stress. There are tons of great schools to choose from, and wherever you end up you'll probably really enjoy.

I chose Williams for so many reasons. The campus is spectacularly beautiful, students are amazingly friendly, and the academics are as good as you can get anywhere (in my opinion, better than what you can get anywhere else). Williams is the school for the involved student--if you plan on being active both in and out of your classes, this is the school for you!

Campus Life and Social Life
Williams takes a centralized approach to partying which means that there are no exclusive parties--everyone can get into every party (this is not the case especially at schools that have frats).

If you're looking to get drunk 3+ days a week and party hard throughout the week, Williams is not the college for you. If you're looking for a balance of hard work, extracurriculars, more relaxed socializing, and parties on weekends, Williams is the school for you.

Academics
The workload is hard but definitely manageable. It's all rewarding and I feel like I always get a lot out of the work. There are no TAs and Profs are across the board fantastic. There really are no weak departments, but among the many strong departments, Art History, Philosophy, Bio, Chem, Math, Econ, Polisci and Philosophy particularly stand out. There are few departments at Williams that are not in the national top 10.

Student Body
There is no typical student at Williams.

In Closing...
I can't imagine a better school.
