President George W. Bush became the sixth U.S. President to visit the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology. On March 27, 2002, he witnessed a demonstration of first-responder technology developed at Georgia Tech and addressed the issue of homeland defense to a crowd of students and Georgia leaders gathered at O'Keefe Gymnasium.
