On 10/24/07, a group of Emory students and Atlanta activists confronted David Horowitz during his presentation at Emory University. This event created a deluge of comments/discussion on blogs, Youtube, etc., regarding both the issue of freedom of speech and Islamophobia.
Whether or not you agree with David Horowitz or with the EXTENT of the actions of the activists, you have the RIGHT to speak out, to agree/disagree, and to make your opinions known. The event and the commentary that followed it is a part of the democratic process. This is what democracy looks like.
