American University: AU isn't a bad choice
The school is a lot better than it gets credit for, but it definitely fits some people better than others. You'll find very politically conscious people here. Most students are political science or international relations students, however, it also has a strong communications school. In terms of personalities, you'll find a mix of everyone on campus; nerds, jocks, etc.

American University: Work and Play Hard at AU!
I transferred to AU from Goucher College in Baltimore. At Goucher you never saw people on the quad and everyone was very very cliquey. AU is a stark contrast. I chose the school because I am interested in Graphic Design and we have an amazing, small Graphic Design program. It's one of the best you can find in the country that isn't in an art school.
