Baylor's claim to fame is that it's a Christian (Baptist) university. That being said, you don't have to be a Christian to come here, and no one is going to look down on you if you're a different religion. In fact, I haven't been to church since I've attended Baylor (shhhhh).

If you are thinking about Baylor, make sure that you fit into the Upscale White Baptisit mold that they have going on here. If you drive a Audi, love your frat brothers/soror sisters, believe in creationism, want to help "cure" gay people, and your idea of diversity is your "black friend", Baylor is the place for you!! Fill out an application ASAP. However, if you fall into the democrat liberal bracket and believe in welfare, gay/lesbian rights,and/or pro-choice, you should probably avoid Baylor...

Baylor University: The Baylor Bubble
Baylor is an outstanding school for those who are looking for top academic programs, outstanding athletic programs, and a wide variety of involvement opportunities all within a Christian environment. It has both the advantages of a large university, but also the comfort of being a small community that feels like family. Baylor is a great place to be, but if you're not interested in a faith-based institution, it might not be the right fit for you.
