You have to be really self guiding and willing to everything on your own. Brown does not hold your hand and is not very comforting.

Brown is whatever you make of it. If you want to do something, anything at all, there's a way to do it. However, you have to reach out and grab the opportunity yourself because it won't just be handed to you. Brown is the laid-back, unpretentious Ivy. People are friendly and easy to relate to. What's more, there's virtually no competition between students, which leads to a friendly and collaborative learning environment. Uptight, cutthroat people don't belong here. ...

Although you have ample time to choose your path, the sooner you can figure out what you want to concentrate in, the better. You give yourself more time to explore other interests withouth running into time constraints to complete your requirements.
