The biggest piece of advice to give to high school students is that if you want to go to college were you can get a great education and also have the best time of your entire life, come to Central were there is a party everyday and everyone is always welcome. But, if you're a kid who loves the big city life, I would not choose Central. We are a small town, but we party pretty big!

CMU is considered a "party" school to everyone in the state. But guess what? EVERY school is a party school! Yeah, it used to be a huge one many, many years ago, and yes, we students still know how to have a good time. But no matter where you go, students at every university across the country are going to party if they want to. So don't let this deter you from CMU. Central Michigan - CMU: A Mixed Bag
Think long and hard about whether you want to go to school here. Keep in mind it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. That means if you need to go to the mall every weekend, you'd better have a car or a sympathetic friend. Quite frankly, the only reason I'm going here is because it was the cheapest.
