It's a pretty small school trying to get bigger. The facilities are upgrading constantly, so there's a lot of construction. I came because it was affordable and a great education. . If you're not going to study much, then you probably won't do so well here.

For the serious student,who wants a noncomformist environment where professors actually teach. W&M is for you. Want a residential campus where you are not lost in a crowd. This is the place. Want a huge campus where you have to ride a bus to class,have Animal House parties, or live in an crime ridden urban environment, this is not the place for you.

W&M - William and Mary: the 'burg
If you're even a little bit uncertain as to what you want to do with your life, the academic experience at William & Mary is ideal. The rigorous core curriculum and very involved faculty advisers will put you on the right track. This is also a great place to get prepared for graduate school. Grad schools like the reputation and will also look favorably upon your course selection from W&M. Students who do not plan on attending class should probably go elsewhere.
