GMU - George Mason: Great time
I chose it because of the atmosphere I saw on campus. I wanted to be located close to city but actually be able to stretch our and enjoy myself. If you need to go to school with carbon copies of yourself go somewhere else, if you're up for meeting new people this is the place for you.

My best advice to students coming in is to wait at least one semester before going Greek. As a freshman, I felt a lot of pressure (both from Sorority girls and Fraternity guys) to join a sorority from the very first day I got to Mason. The Greek community here isn't as huge as it feels- but it is EVERYWHERE you turn, especially for the first two weeks or so of each semester. George Mason is a BIG school. 40,000 students and growing, and you will get a chance to meet them all on your hike/journey to class. On average, it takes me 15 mins to get to class from the dorms. my advice is to invest in a good pair of sneakers and avoid at all cost trying to look cute in heels, upper classmen WILL look at you all crazy like.
