It's small so stuff gets around VERY easily. People like to gossip, but don't let it get to you. Try not to sleep around or let everyone find out your business.

If you are in high school and considering Guilford, be prepared to work your ass off! No joke. The professors here do not play around. I mean, they are pretty understanding about stuff and everything is pretty laid back, but they WILL work you. Just know that. I chose Guilford because it's a good school, but I also chose it because the teachers are willing to help you out if needed. The party scene is pretty lame, so unless you have a car, don't expect to have a "college experience...

KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS! Seriously, though - this school is small and socially liberated and that's a lethal combination. In other words, everyone knows everyone's business and I'd say 50% of the student body is at risk for (or has contracted) an STD. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but just...watch it. The kids here are smart and creative and motivated, and so it follows that the academics are intense. Don't slack or the obligations will pile up and kick your lazy...
