If you like big cities and a lot if diversity, Iowa State is NOT for you. Yes, there are international students, but mostly white middle class students. Ames is also pretty small. Iowa State is such a feel-good kind of school. We have no groups that segregate in corners or people who make you feel bad. That is why I like living in the town of Ames. If I gave you advice, it would be that Iowa State University is a good school to come to if you want to be yourself and not stress about what you wear or what people think of you. Advice: go here if you want a bigger campus and larger classes (easier to skip, though that can come back to bite you on the ass, so watch it.) Just don't expect (L)ames to be a very exciting place to live. Plenty of keggers, but if you ever want to do something remotely interesting while you're sober, go somewhere else. Stay away if you don't like snobs, cause there are a lot of them --at least in the suites. Just live in a real dorm, pansy.
