My biggest piece of advice to incoming freshman is to have an open-mind about West Texas. West Texas is a different kind of Texas. Lubbock ,TX is a different kind of Texas . I chose Texas Tech because of the west Texas atmosphere. It's a great school. Everyone is nice, and there is always something to do. If you ever thought about becoming an Aggie do not come here, because Tech is the complete opposite of A&M

At Texas Tech, we have a saying: "Easy to get in, hard to get out." If you don't want to study much, this is not the school for you. But if you think you want to go to graduate school, then Tech is a great place to get your undergraduate degree. The school has over 27,000 students on campus, making it large but not overwhelming.
