Let's be honest. Everyone always talks about UC Riverside like it's a craphole. But in my experience, as soon as I came and walked through campus, I wanted to go to school here. Sure, the weather sucks some days, but the people here are so relaxed. There is so much drama in the other UC schools, but everyone here is happy to be here and the professors are really amazing. UC Riverside: Cheap-n-Ghetto
For people considering UCR as their "backup," stop! This school is G-to-the-Hetto It feels like every class is the AP class in High School that let some stupid kids in. They recently painted the grass green here out of desperation to attract new students, if that tells you anything.

UC Riverside: Stereotypes Begone!
Don't let the stereotypes of UCR get you. It's actually not a bad place. For one thing, the weather is pretty good except for the hot California summers. I wasn't sure how much fun was possible all the way in Riverside, but my thoughts about this school totally did a 180 when I got here. We're walking distance to countless restaurants and the local movie theater. Take time to check the campus out and don't be afraid to ask students walking around. We don't bite!
