UIUC - University of Illinois Urbana Champaign: A School for Every Type of Student
I chose Illinois because of the sheer number of opportunities that it would afford me both while on campus and after graduation. Not only are the academics here absolutely stellar, but job placement post-graduation has a very high rate. Students who are deterred by large populations would stay away from Illinois, but they shouldn't! Sure, there are 42,000+ students on this campus, but it's easy to make it feel small and personal if you get involved!

Navigating a 41,000 person university is not easy, especially when some of the most challenging classes can have over 800 students. There are all kinds of students on campus, however, the vast majority of the student population are what could be deemed main stream: wear the 'popular' clothes, listen to 'popular' music, and hit the bars 3 or so nights a week.
