When I was applying to college, I had no idea what I was looking for so I just applied to schools whose names I have heard of before, Wellesley, Columbia, NYU, etc. Everyone I knew was pushing me to go to Wellesley because of it's excellent reputation and amazing graduates. Wellesley is an amazing place, but it isn't for everyone. Its most frequently-cited faults are that it is located in a small town outside of Boston and has an all-female student body, but critics often neglect to realize that these two facts are its greatest assets as well. THINK CAREFULLY!!! consider being around women all the time and having to work harder to create a satisfactory social life involving men. I chose Wellesley because my financial package was excellent and even now my loans to pay back are less than $10,000. but if you are a student who really likes basketball games, football games, and want a more "public school" experience, this isn't the school for you. The women at Wellesley can be very political, opinionated, feminists and the like.......
