When considering Western Carolina University(WCU), a student must think of the setting. WCU is located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. There are no large cities in the area. I chose WCU because of its low cost and the recognized education program. Students seeking a city life as well as Med. and Law majors, should stay away from WCU.
