take both. thats probly your best bet that way you can do better on one of them. otherwise id say take the SAT. i guess it depends on your strengths but both would give you more options

did anybody take the ACT and not the SAT

The SAT is more important than ACT not all colleges even require you to submit your ACT scores, the highest you can get on the SAT is 2400 and on the ACT is a 36. You should take both and heres a link that you could copy into your browser ; to learn more information about both :http://www.kaptest.com/College/SAT/Learn-About-the-SAT/CO_satact.html and this next link is an article about the importance of taking both exams

I personaly did much better on the ACT than the SAT, but it all just depends on the individual. Take both and send your best scores

I am only taking the ACT. You can't submit both, and if you take the SAT you also need to take 3 subject tests for most schools. Also, the ACT is shorter.

The ACT looks a lot better.

wait you can't submit both

I took just the ACT. It depends on where you want to apply to really, and what they prefer.

You can definitely submit both.

You should take both the ACT and SAT. You can submit both. Colleges only review your highest ACT score no matter what you made on the others. Schools look at all your SAT scores but will usually use the highest one to make their decision. The ACT measures what you have learned in your course work and classes. It says how ready you are for college. The SAT is more of a test that measures your ability to think. It is not dependent on what a student should learn while in school.

You can submit both, they are of the same value to colleges though. You can take either and it doesn't matter which one. You either can submit just one or both.
