Forum Topic: "Are these feasible colleges with my scores/gpa?"

Post a new topic
I believe i have an unwieghted gpa of 3.9 or so, but with only 1 ap, 1 honors during junior year. Now i am a senior and im taking ap calculus, ap environment science, and honors physics?
My ACT score is only 22 and im talking it again in 2 weeks. (by the way, if i took the ACT and dont want to use it because it was so low, should i not mention it when applying)
My SAT scores include 520(reading), 630 (writing), 660(math).
Is it realistic for me to get accepted into the following:
USC
UCLA
UC Davis
UC San Diego
UC Berekely
John Hopkins
University of Chicago
Northwestern
University of Wisconsin
?

For almost all of these schools you would need to improve you scores. Berkeley, Hopkins, UChicago and Northwestern you would probably need 30+. Wisconsin you'd probably want atleast 26 if you don't want to wait to get in off the waitlist. For the others, I'm not quite sure. Good luck though.

but do i have to use my ACT score? could i just use my SAT score?

You can use whichever score you want.

use whatever score you want. i think berkeley/ucla/northwester/jhu/northwester would all be considered reaches. one of the things that these schools values most is your transcript and the difficulty of your courses. additionally, i know that wisco will not count your grades from senior year.
good luck, but you might want to pick some safeties.
