I'm an American-born-Korean from the predominantly white city of Ventura, CA and I have no idea which one to choose. Any suggestions or opinions on the two?

bio sciences in the college of arts and sciences
- alicejhp For one two of my parents friends who are doctors went there and loved it. So, it seems that science minded people enjoy it there. I have visited the campus. Everyone I met there was super nice. It's in a beautiful area. There is a nice little rural downtown. Everyone I spoke with said they loved it. However, here is a downside- if you love the city. I am a city boy. Too many trees and not enough city for me. But, everyone there seemed truly happy. Oh, and very intelligent.
- cameron Dartmouth 'cause it's a lot more chill and laid back than Cornell. Besides, do you want to go to a school that has the highest suicide-rate of any college? It all really depends on what you're looking for.
- bina324 ^^^don't believe everything you read ^^^
"Cornell University is one peer institution that does maintain moderately complete records of their student deaths in response to a common perception that they have a high suicide rate. Cornell had eight students take their own lives in the past ten years. With about 19,000 students on campus, Cornell has a suicide rate of about 4.3 per 100,000 student years for that time period, far below both MIT and national rates."

- renix Just by curiosity ...
which one has a better biomedical engineering program?
Cornell or Dartmouth?
- knowledge is it difficult to get a chance to do research at cornell?
and is it hard to get good grades there?
what's the korean community like at dartmouth, or is it just nonexistent?
- alicejhp Well, dartmouth is in semester system and cornell is in quarter system.
I dont know about the korean community in those schools. But there are quite a lot of korean students in my school and they have to make two separate groups to differentiate those Korean korean and korean americans...
- Nub4Life Sorry, my bad. Actually Dartmouth is the one on the Quarter system and Cornell is on Semester system.
- Nub4Life haha.. yeah, I was really hungry and couldn't think clearly. Btw, I've decided to go to U of Chicago instead of Harvard for summer school. It's so expensive and Chicago has a better econ program...
- Nub4Life I would say that Dartmouth is the most diverse. I know they have a large Asain population of students there.
- cameron yeah, harvard is expensive for summer architecture programs as well. their undergrad is overrated anyway
- renix o and any good schools has a bunch of asian students lol
