I would say that Long Beach is not that hard to get into. Be aware that it is a big commuter school. It's pretty close to the beach. Many of the students seem to hang out in Belmont Shore, which is a nice little beach shopping area. Alamitos Bay offers sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and gondola rides and, Seal Beach which is a bus ride away offers surfing. Long Beach is probably easier than SD state but, I am NOT an expert on this. You might want to look at Fullerton too.

thank you so much for the information. i know that other california schools are super hard to get into because of the other information ive seen on this sight. but what is a commuter school? is it like where they have to live off campus? in that case would i have to pay for an apartment then too? i will definantly look at fullerton.. thank a lot!!

CSULB is pretty easy to get into. If your out of state tho you need to have above a 3.0.

I would say if you have above a 3.25 GPA your pretty much guarenteed admission. If your grades are kind of bogus, you should think about Chico State, its one of the better CSU's, it was ranked Playboys best party school, and it is one of the more inexpensive CSU's for Out of Staters.

Commuter school means most of the student body lives off campus. They do have on campus housing. I don't know if it's guaranteed for new students. You will need to check on that. LB is a "gi-normous" school. I mean it's larger than large.
