Forum Topic: "QUESTIONS ABOUT APPLYING TO USC"

Post a new topic
i was just wondering if anyone can answer a couple of questions?

1. i heard from a few people thats its better to do your first two years at like a community college, than transfer to university. Is this true?

2. I want to study film. I also heard that the first two years is just math, science, etc... than in the third and fourth year you actually start learning filmmaking. Is this true?

thanks.

1) If you're admitted as a freshman, to the film school in particular, I'd definitely go cuz there's no guarantee you'll be admitted as a transfer.

2) No clue, you should direct those questions to USC film school; phone number is probably on the website

Good luck

I can answer this. Yes, it's better to transfer in especially if you want to avoid the whole testing thing. They have a high attrition rate after the first year.

If you want to get into film school don't limit yourself to film production.

Hey Surficali08! I just visited St. John's in Santa Fe. The town is a little small but I really liked the school.
