I'm looking to apply to UC Santa Barbara this year, I'm going to be a senior in high school. Up until last year I had 3.77 GPA but caught an early case of senioritis and its dropped to a 3.41, unweighted. I figure I can bump that up to at least a 3.5. My SAT scores are right in the middle of UCSB's average range so I'm not worried about that. I took a couple of AP courses which I did very well in. My extracurriculars include:
-6 years of cross country
-2 years of track and field
-4 years as Senior Art Editor for the school newspaper
-one year of snowshoeing
-2 years in my school's gifted program
-community service (can't remember the hours)
I'd just like to know my chances of being accepted, as well as any advice on how to improve those chances.
