Forum Topic: "University of Nebraska, UofA, HELP!"

Post a new topic
I was pretty sure that I was gonna go to UofA, but I got accepted to Nebraska and my friend loveddd it when he went. I do not know much about Nebraska, and theres not much on here about it.Anyone know anything about the school, or have any input on the situation? :)

Go to U of Arizona for sure. It is a legit school, with an awsome social scene, and tons of good looking people. Also it is a lot more accessable. If you wanted you could go to Mexico for a night, or cruise back to cali on an airplane for 69$. Also looking at your picture I think you'll be a perfect fit. From what I know about Nebraska, it is a commuter school, in NEBRASKA. Reeeeallly boring. You could be a wildcat or a cornhusker. You make the pic.

i wud go with Arizona

haha.thank youu.i was already leaning towards arizona, and i think it is a much better choice.thank youu :)

there we go. Maybe Ill see you there cutie

oop is a obviously biased towards AZ in any thread. someone else asked about KU and he said pretty much the same thing. I have been to UNL and it is a very nice school. The haymarket is a good area of town. Lincoln is pretty clean.

but if you are more not wanting to branch out to a new kind of place I'd stay in the warmth of the southwest. depends what you want. But like I said, there's nothing wrong with UNL.

Im just saying who would want to go to the state of Nebraska over Arizona. Or the state of Kansas. All there is, is people growing corn.. and hicks
- oop
being someone from Kansas I take some offense to that. you have no idea what you are talking about. Lawrence (where KU is) is no hick town. but hey i dont expect kids such as yourself from the west coast to know anything about the plains.
- renix
W/e maybe hick ass kansas is a great place to live. But it doesn't look like you wanted to stay and go there. Ive driven through kansas and all I remembered was a bunch of white trash hicks, and fields. Just a bunch of simpletons
- oop
oh wow.well i didnt know that this question would end up in a little arguement haha
- quech
how do you see hicks from driving through on the interstate? I-70 I'm guessing? but propagating stereotypes is something "simpletons" themselves do. it doesn't matter where they are from...kansas or california.
- renix
I didn't stay because Brown isn't there..otherwise...

i dont really think oop was that worked up about itt.but thanks for the infoo :)

Im just messing with you man, citizens of Kansas know whats up. I just like U of A better than U Nebraska and U Kansas.
- oop
have you spent time at either?
- renix
who? i have visited arizona, and i loved it.i was planning on visiting nebraska soon, but i dont know anymore.i dont really feel like spending the money to go out there, but i still would like to check it out.so i dont knoww

i was talking to the person who says they like U of A better...just wondering if he was making a comparison of colleges he's actually visited and investigated

Yeah I have been to University of Arizona. I stayed for a weekend with my friend that goes there. It is a really legit college, and the social scene was awesome. The weather is great and I was super impressed with the whole school. Also from what my friend told me, all the professors were really helpfull, and knowledgeable. I haven't been to the Universities of Kansas or Nebraska, but from driving through the mid west, I really wasn't impressed by the enviroment. But I guess i am biassed bcuz im from a beach town in California.
- oop
thats what i was getting at
- renix
me too! where in california? if you dont mind me askingg
- quech
Santa Cruz

wow @ Kansas being full of corn and hicks. it's actually a nice college town such as Athens for UGA and it's pretty liberal. do your research next time.
