Georgia tech
Virginia Tech
Purdue
Penn State
Ohio State
Michigan State
ive ruled out Michigan and Ohio, and im not too keen on Penn, so wats ur opinion?

I read that Virginia Tech is a school with a great atmosphere and a good academic reputation...better than purdue or georgia...Students are happy at V-Tech, lots of partying, and great facilities. Surprisingly, professors pay a fair amount of attention to their students, even though they have a large student body of over 20,000. N plus with this huge student body u will be able to find anyone interested in anything...hope this helps pal
- Maxim B I have to agree with Maxim. At a school as large as V Tech it is becoming a rarity that the professors give their students a good amount of attention, and that is something to definitely keep in the back of your head when making your decision.
- Emonasebian If you are going to major in Engineering, I would say GA Tech.
- ihsu virgina tech all the way.. it's in the middle of nowhere but it's a great school.. the students are much happier there which is a definite plus.. school is big but once u go to a prof for help, they'll be more than willing :) at ga tech there's a depressed atmosphere.. which can be demotivating to the hardest working student.. and a bachelors there usually take 5 or 6 years instead of 4 since ppl fail classes cuz of their intensity.. and honestly, who wants to spend extra time working on a degree when u could already be making money! :)
- LanniE From what you HAVEN'T ruled out - VT is the way to go !
I got into VT, PS & Purdue as well - but from those 3 I'd take VT.
I also got into 4 other schools & I'll probably go to one of these 4 others, but for different reasons. Go to VTech !
- Nelle Penn State, cuz VA tech isn't as good as Penn State. I know a lot about both schools and i would def pick penn state over VA tech.
- supertgrl Well, some things are obvious here. Out of those the best academic rankings are at Georgia Tech while the best party lifestyle might be at Penn State or Ohio State. It depends on what you want, though. If you're okay with working hard at a school that will take you to higher academic heights then make your home at Georgia Tech. If you're willing to sacrifice prestige for the ability to stay drunk more often, then look at Virginia Tech. And if you don't want a classic Southern school then pick something like Penn State or Purdue.
I'm a student at Georgia Tech, and have learned to cope with less of a party scene in favor of more focus and prestige.
